Even more exciting than finishing my Masters, I’ve finally accepted a full-time position! What do I actually do? I focus on building controls. Mainly, to… Continue reading New year, new location

Puerto Rico: A View To Live For

August 22, 2017January 13, 2018 Megan

It was $53 for a ticket one way from St.Thomas to San Juan, and there was no way I could pass that up. Everyone knows how I love a good deal. Going to Puerto Rico was an impulse decision on our part, and what an adventure it turned out to be. The running joke of… Continue reading Puerto Rico: A View To Live For

Destination Wedding In the USVI

July 22, 2017 Megan

As two gingers traveled the Caribbean it was often asked why we would head so close to the equator during July. Firstly, neither one of us got burnt the entire 10 day trip. Sunscreen and limited exposure were the key. It also helped that neither one of us had a desire to spend endless amounts… Continue reading Destination Wedding In the USVI

Greetings! I’m an engineer with a passion for buildings and the environment. During the day I work as a Project Manager building a data center. Moving around every year has been the theme of my last three years. Currently residing in Portland, Oregon. I used to use this blog to document all my travels. I love to hike and explore vegetarian food wherever I go. Now I am using this page to help launch my podcast called Doin Girly Things. I have a passion for making engineering and construction seem like girly things to do. I want to cultivate a community that shares funny, inspiring and sad stories to let other women know they aren’t alone but also encourage others to join the STEM field.
